Farewell....My CEO
Today there's a small farewell event at bistro for our CEO. He is retiring at the age of 54. An age which i strongly think that he is still young for the word "retirement". But then again, with the recent big win of the giant project bid, i would choose to step down as well. Passion is no longer the key but rather, high strength and endurance will be also needed in long run.
I guess alot of our pple love him, even though we din work w him directly or spoke to him. 5 yrs of working and he is the 3rd CEO i've came across that leaves a deep impression. A CEO whom always put on a sincere smile, so much closer to the employee's heart by his powerful speech- that had drawn pple to listen what he wanted to say, loud and clear. He made me feel that our company is a big family and teamwork here is much appreciated.
Our management presented the retirement version of wonder girl's Nobody dance, danced by the directors. Also, I-Mac, calligraphy, scrapbook, CEO's wife & our loud cheering were the additional sparks to the event. I like the part where one male staff was playing guitar while the lady singing unplugged 月亮代表我的心. The only song which CEO would sang in ktv. This was specially dedicated to CEO's wife on behalf of CEO as he did not spent enough time w his family. I was so touched that i need to control my tears from falling when CEO's tears already rolling down. Even my temp said tt he seem like a good CEO and she almost cry as well.
He worked in Singtel for more than 30 yrs...half of his youth from a HR person to what he is now. He is truely a delicated, loyal coworker that led him to here. To become a CEO whom everyone would miss and love is never easy...at least not for the current CEO whom juz taken tis new role.
He is well-deserved for the retirement! All the best!!!
